COMPLETE ENLIGHTENMENT SÙTRA

I heard like this:

At one time, Buddha Entered the Right-Meditation named Great Light Treasure of Ubiquitous Supernatural Power. That treasure is the place that keeps brilliantly the solemnity of all Buddhas, and also the Nature-of-Enlightenment-Wisdom which is very transparent and pure of all kinds of satvas. Buddha Entered this Right-Meditation, so his Body and Mind were very quiet, identical with the ubiquitous universe nature, which means to be consistent with Non-Duality. This Non-Duality represents Pure world where Buddha and Ten Thousand  Mahàsatvas with the leaders such as Manjusri Bodhisatva, Samantabhadra Bodhisatva, Universal Vision Bodhisatva, Vajragarbha Bodhisatva, Maitreya Bodhisatva, Pure Wisdom Bodhisatva, Power and Virtue Unhindered Bodhisatva, Voice of Discernment Bodhisatva, Purifier of All Karmic Hindrances Bodhisatva, Universal Enlightenment Bodhisatva, Perfect Enlightenment Bodhisatva and Most Excellent of Worthies Bodhisatva;  these Bodhisatva and their entourage, entered the Right-Meditation, so they joined the Equal-Dharma-Congress of Buddha.

 CHAPTER 09 – PURIFIER OF ALL KARMIC HINDRANCES

At that time, Purifier of All Karmic Hindrances Bodhisatva was among The mass, from his seat stood up, then worshiped with his forehead as high as Buddha’s feet, according to the right side of Buddha, walked around Buddha three times, kneeled straight, joined his hands and said:

Buddha with great compassion, YOU taught us widely about everything beyond the reach of thinking and discussion, which is about Buddha’s preliminary basis, and what is related to that preliminary basis, YOU made us achieve unprecedented artha: seeing all of Buddha’s difficult hard working things in as many kalpas as Ganges River’s sands, seeing them clearly as though they had just happened a moment ago. Therefore, we are glad and deeply comforted.

Buddha, Complete Enlightenment nature is transparent and bright, why does it have the disadvantages that make satvas have delirium, unable to enter it? I would like to ask You respectfully to teach all of us its nature. Please create the future eyes for us, and for the subsequent generations.

After saying that, Purifier of All Karmic Hindrances Bodhisatva put his five body parts on the ground to worship Buddha. Bodhisatva made that request three times in that posture respectfully, after each time of request he started over again.

Then, Buddha taught Purifier of All Karmic Hindrances Bodhisatva:

Very well, Good Son, for the mass, and people in the final period, You ask Tathàgata about the factors of conducting and achievement like this. You should listen carefully, Tathagàta will expound.

Purifier of All Karmic Hindrances Bodhisatva felt glad and together with The mass listened quietly.

Buddha taught:

Good Son, from without beginning until now, Satvas have false thinking, so they are obdurate on Ego-form, Human-form, Satva-form, Recipient-form, receive these four aberrant concepts as their real Ego. Therefore, naturally created are hate and love. So aberration adds to aberration. These two levels of aberration combine the power to create karma and the path of karma, which means there is aberration karma, so there is the aberrant seeing which is the seeing of Samsara. Then hating and leaving Samsara, there is another aberrant seeing which is to see Nirvàna. Therefore cannot enter transparent and bright Complete Enlightenment, not that Complete Enlightenment opposes those who enter it. Because if someone enters it, it is not Complete Enlightenment that makes that one enter it. So emerging thinking-remembering and preventing thinking-remembering both lead to delirium, why, because there is active ignorance in it. Satvas were born without Wisdom-Enlightenment eyes, the body and mind are full of Ignorance: Ignorance does not accept to eradicate Ignorance, like someone who does not accept to cut his own body. Therefore, must understand that the love of self-ego is suitable for the ego of preference, what is opposed to the ego s hated by the ego, those love and hate feed ignorance, so they make the continuous attempts to realize and to be Enlightened to Complete Enlightenment unachievable.

Good Son, Ego-form is the self-knowledge of self-ego. For example, someone whose body is in good conditions seems to forget himself, but when stung a little will see the ego immediately. So the self-knowledge itself makes the self-ego appear. Good Son, the self-knowledge like this, even if knowing Nirvana, is still Self-form.

Good Son, Human-form is the self-understanding of the self-knowledge mentioned above. But understanding that the self-knowledge makes the self-ego appear, then understand that that self-ego is not worth receiving; then understand that the self-ego is not worth receiving, then understand that the self-knowledge makes the self-ego appear, that self-knowledge is also not worth receiving. The understanding beyond all this knowledge is called Human-form. Good Son, that understanding, even if understanding that the Nirvana of the self-knowledge is also Self-form, there is still a delicate self-understanding to understand completely the theory of the self-knowledge, so full of Human-form.

Good Son, Satva-form is self-clarity about what the self-knowledge and the self-understanding cannot reach. For example, someone says that “I am satva”, then the “satva” that this one says is not The Ego, not The Human: “I am Satva”, that Satva is not “my self-ego”, “I am Satva”, that Satva is not the self-ego of anyone. Good Son, self knowing that the self is Ego-form, the self-understanding of that self-knowledge is Human-form, Self-form and Human-form are not completely realized, but is still self-clear of that impossibility to realize, is Satva-form.

Good Son, Recipient-form is Satva’s bright-transparent Wisdom-Enlightenment, enlightened to the self-clarity of the above unrealized things. Wisdom-Enlightenment still has fluctuation like this, can be enlightened to all without self-enlightenment-realization, That Wisdom-Enlightenment is Recipient-form. Good Son, that Wisdom-Enlightenment is also something that is made dirty by dust, because if there are still the enlightenment and enlightened things, it still belongs to the field of dust, that Wisdom-Enlightenment also has to be refined for purity. So, like boiling water to melt the whole ice block, it is impossible even to leave any amount of ice in that ice block to know that that ice block has melted completely; if there is still the self-ego to be enlightened that the self-ego is completely eliminated, then it is like there is a little bit ice left.

Good Son, people in the final period don’t understand completely the Four forms, so no matter how many kalpas of difficult hard-working conducting-practicing, it will only be the process of production, not realization and Enlightenment, so it is called the final period of the Buddha-Dharma. Because they hold the transformed shades of Ego as Nirvana, they think that the self-knowledge and the self-understanding about those shades are Wisdom-Enlightenment, the same as accepting the enemy as their own child, so assets of gold and pearl can never be created. Love of the self-ego that loves Nirvana, then temporarily stop the love of the self-ego is Nirvana; hate the self-ego so hate life and death, don’t know that it is also a way to love the self-ego, and this love is really the origin of life and death, so hating life and death like this is not called liberation.  And why is the love of Nirvana also not called liberation? Good Son, because people in the final period conduct-practice Bodhi Wisdom-Enlightenment, but assume that their limited knowledge is already bright-transparent, they still have not eliminated all the roots of Self-form. When anyone praises their knowledge, they feel happy and like to transform others’ perception to save them, if anyone decries their knowledge, they are angry and want to refuse. Thus, knowing that Self-form still is still held tightly, hiding in Alaya-vijnàna and travelling within the senses, never interrupted. Those who conduct-practice Wisdom-Enlightenment without eliminating that Self-form, cannot enter Transparent and Bright Complete Enlightenment.

Good Son, if knowing that Self-form is nothingness, will not see that anyone is decrying the Ego. If seeing that the Ego is expounding Dharma, then know that Self-form still exists. Human-form, Satva-form, and Recipient-form are also exactly like this. So, Good Son, if people in the final period expound illness but regarding it as dharma, it is pitiful, and if they make great effort and persevere, they only increase the illness, unable to enter Transparent and Bright Complete Enlightenment.

Good Son, people in the final period do not understand completely the Four forms, then if they make the understanding and actions of Tathàgata become their own understanding and actions, they can never make achievements. There are people who have not achieved suppose that they have achieved, and people who have not realized suppose that they have realized, if seeing anyone better, they feel jealousy, that is because they have not excluded the love of self-ego, so cannot enter Transparent and Bright Complete Enlightenment.

Good Son, people in the final period desire to achieve Wisdom-Enlightenment, do not try to wish for enlightenment by increasing knowledge to enlarge Self-form, must be hard-working and persevering to eliminate distress; must be exceptionally brave to get what has not been achieved, lose what has not been lost; greed, resentment, love, arrogance, flattery, jealousy, these things when facing scenes are not born anymore, here-there, gratitude – resentment all cease. Tathagàta says people like this will sequentially achieve Wisdom-Enlightenment, and meeting good Teacher and friends will not meet the people to have false knowledge. Having found and met the good Teacher and friends, do not have prejudice that creates hate or love, because it will not be possible to enter the sea of transparent and bright Complete Enlightenment.

Buddha would like to repeat the expounded meaning so he said the following words:

Purifier of All Karmic Hindrances,
You should know that
satva-form due to
holding to self-ego,
from without beginning until now
suffer samsara without a wayout.
So without excluding
the Four forms of holding to the ego,
will not  achieve
Wisdom-Enlightenment Complete Enlightenment
Citta rises love-hate
Inside citta is still not straight,
so there are many people,
feel the confusion,
cannot enter
Complete Enlightenment Castle.
If wanting to completely comeback
to Complete Enlightenment country,
must eradicate
Desire-Anger-Ignorance,
and the hatred of samsara
Or the love of Nirvana,
both of these two things
are no longer inside,
will  sequentially
achieve Wisdom-Enlightenment.
Self-ego self-body
is originally not true,
so love or hate
rises from where?
People like this
finding good Teachers and friends
never
meet false seeing,
if having found them with prejudice
achieve nothing./.
